Duotrope - They keep track of over 2,000 markets for all types of fiction. Trusted and a mainstay link for most writers. They list pay rates, response times, links, and all current information on publishers.

The Twilight Zone Cafe There are a lot of websites dedicated to the classic TV series. This one is by far the best. Active forum, run by smart moderators who are world-class experts on the show in its different variations.
Ursula K. LeGuin - Her legendary writings include the famous Earthsea series, as well as the novels 'The Left Hand of Darkness',
'The Lathe of Heaven' and other works.
She's not only one of the best sci-fi writers on the planet, but she's REALLY nice to fans and a resident of the Great Northwest.
If you send her a polite letter using the address and directions on her website, she will send you up to six signed book plates.

The Official Zuzu Website - She played James Stewart's daughter in the film 'It's A Wonderful Life.' Karolyn Grimes sent AB a nice Christmas message and it really made our day! You can read about her career and very interesting life on her official website. 'Zuzu' is a Washington State resident and although she has a webmaster, she answers all messages personally.
Allan Guthrie Commissioning Editor of Point-Blank Press and the author of several crime novels. He is from Edinburgh. His excellent advice on cutting out the deadwood in a novel, or 'Hunting Down the Pleonasm' has become legend, and can be seen on the AB Videos page.

These include complete films, books, Old Time Radio programs such as 'Dimension X' and 'X Minus 1', music, historical stuff, and more than we can list here. Newsvine - Seattle-based news and citizen journalism site. They have a strict Code of Honor, and use regular feeds from AP and others to supplement user-supplied content. They often scoop major media, as well. Slick, smart, and professional. They became a part of MSNBC in October, 2007. AB has a very popular column there called 'Straight Talk'.
RECOMMENDED SCI-FI SITES
The Chronicles U.K. Forum - Well-run science fiction and fantasy site based out of Britain. Probably the second-largest in the world. Strictly categorized, allows self-promotion under specific rules and threads. All true science fiction fans have a shortcut on their desktop to this one.

The Sci-Fi Channel Forum - This one IS the biggest sci-fi site in the world. Much of the site is dedicated to shows from the Sci-Fi cable channel, but all other science fiction categories are covered well. More than 3 million visitors a month touch base at this site.

SFF World. Good site with thousands of fans that discuss sci-fi intelligently. Threads for popular authors, tv shows, and much more.
Cool Sci-Fi allows uploaded photo and art galleries related to science-fiction, and is well-moderated.
Many more features available than usual forums.
