Escape Velocity

The Magazine of Science Fact and Fiction

Escape Velocity is a multi-faceted magazine publishing hard science fiction stories, film reviews, science articles, historical space articles, and other features of interest to science fiction readers.

At EV, we strive to present stories in the hard science fiction genre, and in the spirit of films or books such as '1984', 'Brave New World', 'Gattaca', 'Red Planet', and similar types of work. We often avoid stories built on contrived universes.

It's a difficult genre to describe, but in general, our heroes are people like Arthur C Clarke, Ray Bradbury, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and Isaac Asimov, among others.

Adventure Books of Seattle is the parent company of EV, and is based in Auburn, Washington, a suburb south of Seattle.

All submissions to the magazine, or proposals for articles, are accepted via eMail only. But if you'd like to write to the magazine regarding issues other than submissions, feel free to do so. Our main office is located at:

Don't forget to drop by The Global Warming Project over at the main Adventure Books website and use our easy webform to have your say about climate change. All comments go into a coffee-table size book with added images showing the damage caused by global warming. Whether or not you agree severe climate change is real is not important. All comments are published. We stop taking submissions at 1,000. So far, we have about 400 submissions. Have your say on this important subject.

Thanks!
